Spring of 2020 was spent strolling through New York City and observing New Yorkers enjoy the fresh air and the feeling of being free outside. We danced for joy. March through May we were terrified to be living in this city. It wasn't lost on me to see the evident release of emotions enjoying green spaces. It was a pleasure to observe and record.

This work is a shadow box. There are 2 layers with .75 of an inch between them. No matter which room you take it in the light casts different shadows. It moves with the sunlight. They are fluid and ever-changing just like dancers.
