No Fly

Again and again I choose the symbol of our world as a bully pulpit to express my concern for the destruction of our precious home. I used one of my fathers aviation maps that he had to steer himself home in wars and training exercises as he was a fighter pilot pre-GPS. One part of the collage is a of map that actually shows a no fly zone over a military installation near Las Vegas. Since February 24th, 2022 I have been consumed with the news of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. I did not start this artwork with any of that in mind. It evolved and needed to come out of my creation. I get no peace from the making of it but hope that it serves as a reminder that we need to save this planet of ours from mindless destruction.
